To kick off the evening, make sure you stop by the amazing Katara Towers for a drink in Provok. The views are unbeatable and they do a happy hour between 5-7pm with deals on cocktails, beer and wine.

La Petite Maison: A Flavourful Journey through the Mediterranean

Entering La Petite Maison was like stepping into a serene oasis of elegance. The soft lighting, soothing colors, and modern furnishings created a welcoming atmosphere perfect for an exceptional dining experience. We opted to sit outside on the beautiful terrace - which was only possible in the 40+ degree Doha summer heat thanks to in-floor air conditioning!

You’ve got to check out the Steak Tartare. This dish is all about finely chopped raw steak that's seasoned just right. It comes with a zesty sauce and is topped off with some fresh herbs and crunchy, finely grated fried potato. Honestly, it’s a flavour explosion that hits you from the very first bite!

For the main course - I recommend the Mafaldine Seafood Pasta, it's a delightful medley of fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pasta, and a rich, flavourful sauce that transported me to the coastal shores of Italy.

La Petite Maison also excels in wine selection. I chose a beautiful rosé which worked really well with the flavours of the meal.

Carbone: An Italian Culinary Experience with a Twist

Known for its innovative take on Italian food, Carbone has quickly become a must-visit spot in Doha.

The lavish decor, reminiscent of old-world New York City, sets the stage for an extraordinary meal. Plush furnishings, vibrant mood lighting, and vintage artwork makes the space feel both inviting and luxurious.

I can highly recommend the Spicy Rigatoni and the meatballs. The rigatoni dish has gained quite the reputation, and I fully understand why. The pasta is perfectly cooked, and the spicy sauce has a creamy texture bursting with flavour. It was rich yet balanced—a perfect embodiment of traditional Italian cooking.

Carbone, like La Petite Maison, has an extensive wine list. I opted for a classic Montepulciano D'Abruzzo that paired beautifully with the richness of the meatballs. I was also impressed by the exceptional service. The staff not only provided attentive service but shared their passion for the dishes and made excellent recommendations throughout the evening.
