I flew into Phuket airport and landed late at night, so I chose to stay close by for the first night, at the very unique The Slate. The hotel made my arrival very smooth, by offering free transportation from the hotel. Once I arrived, I received a warm welcome and a gorgeous flower bracelet.

My room was gorgeous, with an industrial design and a private pool.

The hotel was enormous, offering several different pools and restaurants.

After a late check-out, my friend, who had just arrived from Bangkok, picked me up at the hotel and we headed towards Patong Beach.

We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton, which was in a great location, and had several different pools. We loved the beachside pool.

Since this was a girls' trip without the kids, we took full advantage and headed to the coolest beach club I've ever seen - Yona Beach. We were picked up in a speedboat from Patong Pier, and arrived in style at the boat which houses the Yona Beach club.

The food, vibe and music were all amazing - 10/10 highly recommend. Kids are not welcome so this is one for your friends' trip rather than family trip.

We also had some amazing dinners during our long weekend - I can highly recommend Sizzle Rooftop which had amazing views and great food.

I also loved Malika Skybar.

We also went to lunch at Pine Beach bar which is right on the beach and next to Café del Mar - an absolutely idyllic spot.
